Connections for Independent Living Launches COVID Support Program

 

Weld County, CO, October 2022 – Connections for Independent Living welcomes a new COVID Programs Advocate position to provide the Weld County area with resources and information regarding boosters, vaccinations, and the newly recognized disability: Long-Haul COVID.

Funded by a federal vaccination grant, this program will provide accurate information in accessible formats regarding COVID-19 vaccinations and resources to those with disabilities living in the seven-county catchment area of Weld, Morgan, Logan, Phillips, Sedgwick, Washington, and Yuma counties.

Connections for Independent Living is a non-residential, participant-controlled nonprofit independent living center that promotes independent living and the empowerment of all persons with disabilities. The organization is one of nine certified independent living centers throughout Colorado and since 1986 has specifically served individuals in seven northeastern counties.
